2014 Backwaters Chili Cookoff
Fun, Exciting & Packed
On the weekend before the Super Bowl, what can you do that is any more fun than watch 27 contestants sweat over their concoctions of arguably America’s favorite soup – Chili?
A packed restaurant watched the judges consider the virtues of each chili while grading each for flavor, looks and originality. After judging, the crowd got to sample the entries.
In the end, First Place was won by Mike First, a Sand Key resident (pictured center) who has entered before, but never won. Second Place went to Rick Foxx and Third Place to Bob Davis, both new to Backwater’s Chili Cookoff.
